Today Sega announced who the mysterious new third character in Sonic Forces is, and it's, drum-roll please, .............. THE PLAYER!
Yeah, so the third character is a customization character that YOU the player can make look (almost) however you want, you can change their color, species, clothes and probably some other things I'm forgetting. Naturally with something like this, tons of people (including myself) have been making "Original The Character" jokes, but, jokes aside, what do I think of this whole situation?
Well, I think it's actually kind of cool, as of late, Sega has been very connected with their fans and Sega knows that, for better or for worse, their fans enjoy creating characters and incorporating them with cannon characters in their own stories, so in a bit of fan service, this has emerged.
Even from a game design aspect it's still pretty neat, the last time a Sonic game had a customizable character was in Sonic Battle with Emerl, and this time it's in a platformer and not a Fighting spinoff game, and it won't take away from Class or Modern Sonic's gameplay, Classic's stages will be about 2D platforming, and Modern's stages will be about Speed, But Custom's stages will be a mix of both, platforming like Classic but with the 3D aspect of Modern and with some new stuff thrown in too.
If you're still on the fence about this whole thing, then consider this: I saw a comment on one of GameXplain's recent videos on the topic saying something to the effect of "If you don't look at it as an OC generator and instead as an Avatar creator, you'll probably enjoy it a lot more", And I completely agree.
Personally, if developers give me the ability to customize my in game character, I can almost guarantee I'll be 100% on board. that's one of my favorite things about TF2 or even the recent Pokemon games, and since this announcement, my interests regarding Sonic Forces has been piqued. It looked interesting before but, of the two upcoming Sonic games, I was more interested in Sonic Mania, And while I am still more interested in Sonic Mania than Sonic Forces, I do now have a new found interest in Sonic Forces.
Whether or not this game is good, and whether or not the character creator churns out some of the worst things since...well...deviantart (Insert Seinfeld theme and laugh track here) we'll really just have to wait and see how it all turns out.

We'll me again, Don't know where, Don't know when.
Howdy, everyone!
Sorry that it's been so long since my last journal, I've gained a lot of new watcher's in the past few months, and while I normally like to thank people personally for watching me I've lost track of where to start, so let me just say, Thank you for watching!
Anyhoo on to some, not as great, news.
As I'm sure a lot of you are aware, Deviantart will be retiring the "Classic" Deviantart design next month in favor of Deviantart Eclipse.
I'm not sure if I've made my opinion on Eclipse well known or not, but in summary I really can't stand it.
I hate to be negative, and I normally try to find the positive side of any bad situa

Howdy folks, this is not what I envisioned my first journal of the new year/decade being, but oh well.so last night I got a note from a user named BrainyCow8 (who has since deactivated their account) saying that I had been chosen to win a $100 dollar gift card from the DA Staff, they then gave me a link that didn't work.
for reference, here's a screenshot of the message:
Update: Feb 2 2020
Just under an hour ago I got another message from another bot telling me that I had yet to claim a $100 prize I had won in a Raffle I Never even entered (Gettin' some real "King Boo" vibes from this whole thing) this time fro
Yet another Inktober is Inktover.
I will be using that dumb pun until the day I die, thank you.
I'm really glad I decided to do Inktober again this year.
There were a lot of things that got in my way, and, as usual, I fell behind a lot.
But in the end I'm really REALLY proud of the work I did this month!
I feel really motivated to work on art now, and taking a break from my normal digital art for a month gave me plenty of time to cook up a bunch of new ideas for stuff I wanna' draw, so I hope you'll look forward to the stuff I have to share in the coming months.
Anyhoo, I've compiled the entire Inktober 2019 collection into one folder that you can find in my gallery, but

I'VE COME TO MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT.
And it actually kind of does have to do with Shadow the Hedgehog, believe it or not.
One week ago today, Friday July 12th, was the one year anniversary of me posting the first comic in my series Assist Trophy Club entitled "Cold Shoulder"
In honor of the occasion I posted the full, uncropped, versions of the backgrounds from this comic on my Twitter.
the tweet in question can be found here: https://twitter.com/NintenMessenger/status/1149709489680998400
But I also had some bigger plans for the anniversary that I wasn't ready to announce last week, h
